We still talk about watches ! Power reserve 8 days
Power reserve 8 days Eberhard innovates the mechanism for winding the watch patenting a new system. The new meccansimo includes two overlapping springs, whose total length exceeds 1,5 mt , compared with about 30 cm of the length of the spring of a normal wristwatch manual winding. |

The clocks driven by a self-winding movement had not yet been invented, and the need to have a watch that did not need to be charged almost every day, and with dimensions contained, was considered an element of strong distinction and usefulness.
The greater constructive problem is to have a system of durable charging that, however, does not represent one stres excessive for the gears, when the mainspring reaches its maximum charge.
In addition to the technical quality of the entire mechanism, it adds the need to integrate the normal gear with other machanism to move the clock hand that indicates the level of charge remaining.
L '"Eight days", today, is a watch intended for an audience that appreciates a fine mechanics and prestigious.
Eberhard innovates the charger mechanism patenting a system that uses two overlapping springs, whose total length exceeds 1500 cm, compared with about 30 cm of the length of the spring of a normal wristwatch manual winding.
The basic mechanism is composed of the caliber ETA 7001 specially modified, to which was added a container suitable to the big spring and to the gears of the indication of the power reserve.
